Callan, nice test for a supercharged mini though. 3000rpm is where its starts to work. Roll from 1500 in any gear and the turbo will have the punch on you. Loads of torque! Nice stripes on yours and congrats to your mate. I assume that his is the dark silver? Its one of the two colours you get exclusively on the R56 CS. Mine is the other colour. Regarding the tyres, yes, i have been recommended the Eagles but my mechanic ( who races) reckons Kumos are the go. A bit cheaper too and they get up to 25000kms out of a set with great grip. I will need these prior to Byron. Also looking at bringing in the Konig featherweight Carbon black wheels off of the ALTA site. They will cost me AUS$620 + transport. I got a quote on the same thing from a dealer here in Bris and he wanted $1400 for them!

Scolburn, is yours the red one i saw at Show & Shine? It sounds wild. Have you considered a front mount IC to remove it from above the engine and then you can use the bonnet scoop to bring cold air into you filter box. Sure there is some piping but aside from chipping (which i am leaving to last) cold air boost is king whether its turbo or supercharger. Mind you the meth has a similar effect. My Mini dealer is looking at a NOS kit on his R56 which is another way to cool things down.

Am off to Toowoomba today so it'll be good to bed some more kms in and get closer to the magic 1000km mark for the JCW kit. Hopefilly that will release a few more pony's.
