Hi Guys, apart from gearing and weight, tyre pressures and profile will make a massive difference. Just try pushing a car with 45 profile tyres and 20psi, then another with 40 profile and 35psi! -The difference is huge.!
Also youve got to decide whether your 'flooring it at 30', or 'flooring at 20 ,and starting the clock at 30'.-Big differnce!
The most common 'big power loser' is faulty Bypass valve actuator. -Especially on early cars The car in yesterday was losing (butt dyno) 40 -50bhp

,untill we fitted a new GTT tweaked valve. Other favourites are worn (slipping) belt, incorrectly fitted or split intercooler bellows (including mispositioned clamps). Faulty T Map sensor usually gives horrible running aswell. A GTT service/tune once a year is highly recommended. Belts (standard or modified cars) should IMO be changed once a year /12000 miles.
-Hope this helps.
Best Regards Roland GTT
