| Trans Noise?
I've only been driving manual since May 2007, so I don't know what sounds are wrong or right when switching gears. I've been reading a lot of these transmission noises and it's prompted me to post a topic to see if I should have MINI look at my car. While driving, and I am switching gears, it does make this "latching" or "knocking" noise. I hear others on this forum saying they hear a grinding noise and it's no way nearly that bad. So, tell me if that's normal or not.
Also, when I was going up a ramp, it was semi bumpy because I guess they made it that way just for better road traction, but as I was going up the ramp, I can hear this strange knocking noise. I was driving up on second gear I believe when I heard it. So any input may help!!
