As you can see guys there is a minefield of possibilities for getting false results (either of your tuning or power running ) on the RR. We found that the wideband AF ratios are not quite the same on the RR as real roads either. With turbos theres even more problems either with insufficient load to produce boost or wheelspin coming on boost (we found that out!)
If your going on a RR the most important things are:-
-Monitor the intake temps as if these are too high even with computerised correction through OBD2 communication to adjust the figures , timing will retard, & AF ratio will richen. With too much correction the 'corrected' figure may still not exactly equate to what you get on the road .
-Ensure the rundown losses are measured and added onto the wheels figure to get a meaningful flywheel BHP. The actual WHP figure and the losses of that RR cannot be compared to another brand of RR ..its the final flywheel figure thats important. If you like 200+30=230 but 190+40=230 aswell !
-Ensure the rpm to roller speed is correct.
-Get a scanguage 2 so you know what your intake temps in say 4th gear will be on the road beforehand.
