Talking Infinity Basslink Installation

I installed a basslink in the boot of the mini this weekend. When all said and done, this little system sounds BIG in our cars!

I got it on ebay for $180 and the plan was to put this in just to tide me over until I had time to plan, research and fund a bigger system but after only a few days with it -- i think it might be enough!

I was just going to splice into the rear signals at first and do the easiest installation (btw, the diy faqs on this site were helpful, thanks!) but after hooking it up it somehow fried the head unit!? i was ****ed.

*do not try to install this in a mini with the stock head unit. you will blowout your bmw head. (at least from my experience)

so i got an alpine head unit and hooked that up instead. installed the basslink right with rca hookups and took a few minutes to tweek the settings -- this system hits hard. the door speakers finally sound good (they are way underpowered before. bmw tends to put some nice stuff (for OEM anyway) and the bass sounds HUGE. the car is so small and tight and this small basslink really works perfect for out car. plus, having such a small boot to begin with, you don't end up sacrificing much anyways.

i will post pictures soon.
