Hi all,
This morning on the way to work, my 2003
MCS encountered major problems. All of a sudden it felt like I was driving on an ice rink. I could hardly accelerate - only very very gently - without the engine losing power or rather what seemed to be the
DSC kicking in. Also the steering became extremely soft, once again feeling like driving on ice, i.e. turn the wheel and it kept going forward and only slightly turning in the direction I wanted. Thirdly, the brakes make a very nasty sounding grating noise (new brakes and discs 3 months ago). Managed to get it to the dealer and am awaiting a diagnosis.
This was preceded (for the past few months) by the very occasional grating sound when braking gently at very low speeds (doesn't sounf like the actual pads/discs, something else..)and also the occasional instance of the
DSC, ABS and Run Flat warning lights coming on, then going off after a while.
Anyone experienced anything like this before? I am really fed up and this is probably the last straw, my Renault Clio build quality is far superior to the Mini, by far! Enough ranting by me! If anyone could add their experiences in this regard it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
