Check your tyre pressures too etc, I recently changed my air filter as was mucky, didn't make any diff to the consumption though.
Also Winter fuel you will get less MPG's due to the winder additives added to it, also you tend to have your heating on more which also effects mpg's as the alternator is working harder.
