Your dealer has got it right I'm afraid, and you will need to replace the whole unit as the motor is integral.
I had both mine go at the same time - 6 months out of warranty! Since they both went at the same time, my dealer moaned at BMW and successfully obtained a matching pair under warranty, so I just ended up aying for fitting.
I was given excellent service, a smart move by the dealer as I bought a new car from them a few months later. |
