I have the start stop system and it works great and saves me fuel/money but as for the man made climate change debate I'm not convinced. Bearing in mind that over millions of years the planet has heated and cooled wihout the help of man, why do we think we have the right to try and keep the temperature constant?
It wasn't that long ago the 'experts' were predicting a global cooling...if that did happen would we have to pump out more pollution to warm things up a bit?
It's like architecture, quite often you won't get planning permission unless your house fits in with the other houses in it's environment. But the houses that dictate the way it should look were presumably modern when they were built, why does it all have to stay the same. I fear there will be a big chunk of history left where nothing happened and nothing changed. Does nobody want things to move on or change...he says driving the third generation of a 50 year old car

Recycling is completely different as is the need to find alternative fuels but while the recycling issue is being tackled the alternative fuels search doesn't seem to be advancing very quickly. Considering that we are constantly told that fossil fuels will run out in x amount of years surely this is of great importance.
Ultimately I think the 'man made global Warming' position is financially motivated. If the worlds governments can keep people in fear then it is far easier to make evey new tax a 'green tax' and people will pay. Tax ,Tax, Tax...thats what it's all about.

Just my opinion, and I know it's not very popular to suggest that there are two sides but there you go.
