If you do get one off eBay or secondhand make sure it's out of an R50 or R53 solid roof (sunroofs included) as I had one at the side for ages out of a R52 or R53 soft top and when I went to fit it into an R50 for the other ½, the base / centre console is about 1 inch / 20cm shorter
, this was a genuine OEM one though, you can get others that fasten to the seat base's and some are universal. ie fit hard tops & soft tops.
This will also apply vice-versa to anybody reading this thread
