Mine still doing it, the hovercraft impression.
Only 9 degrees outside, no heat from heater, but the cooling fan is howling away. Car is now booked in. I hope they sort it. My Cooper S also did this, but the diesel clacking noise and squealing gearbox /clutch tended to distract me from this minor issue.
