'tis a resonator box which makes a brum (diesel engine like noise) which is supposed to be sporty; bit like blowing over the top of a milk bottle ;}
air going in is not getting to the engine, flow is disturbed, power is reduced ...
u can either cover the holes or use a tube, pipe to connect the inlet hose to the bit that goes into the air filter housing;
my way is quick & easy, James' more fiddly but gives a neater result
Does anyone know which in theory is better - a narrower tube, increased pressure = faster flow so more air or a wider tube = more air volume even if travelling slower ?
