To be honest, I have had a deisel previously (not Mini though) and weighing everything up, it still works out (only marginally) cheaper to run on LPG. I have to admit, when I got the car back and it was spluttering, that thought did cross my mind!
I also have a car allowance from work and I will gain on any mileage I do for the company
