Same.
I'd also like to know their equation for working out the flywheel power figure?
My April 04 build
MCS dynoed at 106kW in stock trim and then on the same dyno after fitting ALTA CAI, Milltek cat-back, MTH Tuner file and ALTA 15% v1 pulley returned 136kW.
In whp, it went from 142 stock -> 182 modded.
As you say though, not having a baseline run from the same dyno makes any subsequent results guesswork. Haha, dyno results still leave you with guesswork at the best of times.
For example, our Mk5 GTI has been on the dyno in stock trim twice. First result was 149kW at the wheels (200whp) and second result, on a different dyno, was 140kW (188whp). Not a bad drivetrain loss from a car rated at 147kW at the flywheel from factory. It would appear Volkswagen have clearly underquoted their figures. Or at least, it would if other stock GTIs weren't returning results around the 125-130kW mark.
Ultimately, in most cases, if your car drives great and you're happy with the performance, a dyno result really only proves how much you can (or can't) brag to your mates.
Cheers Liam
