I was wondering what you trying to bleed? Are you actually trying to block it off?
I wouldn't do that because the engine management on a car with a DPF is extremely sensitive. If you start making modifications and trying to trick the ECU then the DPF could heat up out of control during a regen cycle leading to a fire (without EGR the exhaust will be hotter and contain more NOx).
Also DPFs are expensive and shouldn't need changing until 90,000miles (I bet thats why XL TLC runs out at 80,000
