Mate, if the exterior temperature is below 3 DegC the Auto Stop-Start function is disabled because it may create too much stress on the system apparently. I thought mine had broken, then I read that in the manual. There are all sorts of conditions where it is disabled, I think if it knows you got out of bed the wrong side it disables to try and avoid getting on your nerves!
