Its back again folks
The Lakes Tour. Its a bit different than most of the runs you see on here as there is an entry fee - the run is non profit making, the entry fee is to cover the costs of putting the event on - field hire, marquee for briefings etc, PA hire, generator, toilets etc
This is a long weekend event, although you can come for as long as you want - even just one day.
We have our own field on a top camp site. The field will have male & female toilet blocks. The main site has - clean hot shower blocks, shop, bar, nightclub, take away, resteraunt, car wash!, horse riding. 95% of entrants camp on our field although there are B&B's available close by. The camping fees are payable direct to the campsite on arrival.
Friday - for early arrivals, get set up & then walk into Pooley Bridge in the evening to the 3 pubs
Saturday - possible rolling road shootout, Raid on the Windermere ferry, Treasure hunt in a secret location. Evening - partytime
Sunday - The Tour. After an early navigators briefing during which you will receive your road book, you will all be set off on roughly a 100 mile scenic tour on some of the best driving roads in Europe. You will experience mountain passes & water splashes. It is not a race, enjoy the scenery & have a pub lunch
In the late afternoon is the prize giving, then if your staying until monday, join us in the village pubs again
