About this door seal... it had me thinking, if they didn't want to fit it anymore why are the fitting holes still there and not blanked out.

Plus, when I wash my car I usually find that area of the car wet, probably the same effect as driving in the rain. Is there not a problem with water ingress into the door panel through the holes??

I can understand them wanting to cut corners on costs, it just seems silly that they decide to leave out a part of the door yet leave in place holes were water can get in.

I can see a few rust warranty claims appearing in 2-3 years time.
