Hi,
My 03 Cooper has done 51700 miles and the service indicator says approx 300 miles to next service....time to book it in for it's last TLC service I thought. However when I've tried to do this, BMW have said no because the car has done more than 50,000 miles.
Problem is that when the car was just below 50k, the service indicator said over 2,000 to go until next service and I know from previous attempts, that BMW won't service it unless the indicator is below 1,000.
So, I waited until it was below 1,000 but this obviously meant that the actual mileage went over 50,000.
Does this sound right for BMW to say no? How can they on one hand say it needs to be below 1,000 on the indicator but then when you wait for this to happen they refuse because the actual mileage is higher than the limit of 50,000?
I thought the whole point of these service indicators was to allow "variable service intervals"?
it's really p!ssed me off so some advice would be great.
Thanks.
