My Dooper is still doing this, most recently on Sunday after driving at approx 60mph on the Dual Carriage way and then at about 40mph down some county roads. The outside temp was 6 degrees so by no means warm. I wouldn't class the journey as short it's about 18 miles but all steady driving with little to no stop/start.
When I turned off the car and opened the bonnet there was a lot of heat coming from the turbo but the rest of the engine seamed okay. I mentioned this to the dealer and he had experienced it as well but was convinced that there was no problem.
Maybe its just the fact that the engine is crammed into a very small space with not a great deal of ventilation. I notice most of the upper Grill on my Dooper is closed up, so not allowing much air to pass into the engine compartment. I haven't heard of anybodys dooper going up in flames yet so it can't be that big of a problem!
