Seems a little short sighted this statement, sorry. It's not all about 0-60 times, bhp, and top speed. No point having these things if the car can't handle it. Therefore this model has upgraded brakes, suspension, DTC etc. to improve the driving experience. Also as stated until we see the full tech info and curves it's difficult to make too much sense of what the difefrences will be. And they are throwing in some additional standard kit.
The car is pricey, but isn't every MINI. As quoted earlier it is still cheaper that the GP was.
What isn't clear is whether the Aero kit is included. Whether this car will have the option to spec chili pack etc. or is it a GP type standard package? If it is possible to spec the car up it will end up being a very pricey little car

.
I have also being wondering about the lifespan of the tuning kit now. Will they continue to produce it? Or will it be dropped in the same way as the Cooper works kit was when the MCS was released? Time will tell.
