The weight is important so make sure it is 30 weight. The 5w or 0w is the winter rating and is not a huge deal if you put 5w in. In other parts of the world we use 5w rather than 0w (that is what we use in Germany) rather than 0w as you guys tend to get a little colder for a longer period of time.
As for brand, any fully synthetic will do and you can mix them. That being said, MINI uses Castro Edge as mentioned. I have moved on to Royal Purple myself as it is one of the best oils that I have used. |
