I think I'd have to agree with minhi on this one. I brought my Cooper with the Wave and Cd Changer and it wasn't long until I realised how bad the wave was.

I spent ages trying to locate adapters so that I could use an aftermarket head unit with the changer.

I think really, you have the following options:

1) Get your dealer to fit a Boost for you - Nearly £500 to do this though and your dealer will also need to order an adapter so that Boost will work with the Wave's wiring.

2) Buy an aftermarket head unit and flog the BMW changer on Ebay or on Mini2. You can then order an aftermarket changer, however you won't be able to use the existing cable. Still, it's a cheaper option and you should be able to find a really decent head unit.

I chose option 1 as I wanted the head unit to match the interior of the car.
