It definately is good value from what I've read. With regards to the air con, if you're going for a "performance car", which the JCW Mini is; why do you want climate control to play with when you're buying the car for the driving experience? I guess most people will go for the JCW Aero Kit rather than the auto-aircon option with this car

This is why I've refused to go for auto aircon as I don't personally think the money is worth spending when I'm going for all the JCW Kit and a better exterior looking MINI
