Finally it is time to say goodbye as OW55SAT has been sold (well the cooper S that the plate was attached to) and I have mooved onto a larger less thirsty car.
I can't say that 5.5 years of Mini Ownership have all been plain sailing but the nearly 3 years with the 55plate Cooper S were fantastic. I just feel a little sorry for whover took ownership of KU52DNF as this was to out it politely an absolute Dog of a Cooper.
You all have been more than helpful with tips and fixes and the camaraderie whilst having fallen away recently was more than recompense for the first 3 years of hassle etc.
Anyway enough of moaning, I have moved on to a TDi FR Leon which seems nice and boosty and does 40 mpg day to day compared with the 26 mpg of the 'S'. Only criticism really is that less people let me out of turns etc. and I get less smiles on a day to day basis but other than that I am pleased. If ever I feel the need to return to the Mini fold I will of course be straight back here and will obviously keep dipping my toes in every now and again for old times sake.
