Low down torque in the Dooper is amazing, so much different to my old Cooper.

However, if you only do a low mileage, you need to do your sums to see if the higher asking price is really worth it - I found a website, but can't remember what it was called, that worked out the mileage you need to do in a diesel to make the extra cost worthwhile - I am sure it was about 17k miles a year in a Dooper vs a Cooper.

I wouldn't think there is anything to worry about (he says, touching wood) with a modern day diesel engine, especially one developed by BMW/PSA
