I have heard about these changes, but wasn't aware of the detail, so thanks.

My Mini is 3 years old in August and is on 11k miles at the moment, so barely run in. It seems stupid to trade it in at the 3 year point, just to lose more money. I'm more than happy with it, so will look to take out the warranty as well.

After the 3 year warranty expires, obviously you can buy the extended warranty for year 4, is there an age of the car where they won't allow you to continue extending it?
