There are many young drivers doing the same as proposed here.
Insurance companies are very wise to it, they ask for the registered keeper and the main driver - false staments can lead to legal action and definately invalidate your insurance = if you have an accident you are an un-insured driver = seroius trouble for you and a big issue for who ever you have the accident with.

You know. Sometimes parents are right.

Do what we did with our 2 kids, insure in their own name from day one, pick a cheap car to insure and build up your own no claims bonus.

Do not take the risk of what seems to be a cheap option in the short term
