Don't forget the wheel balancing on top.

I have got a set of 17'' Bullets and the profile of the run flat makes scuffing (no matter how careful) inevitable over time. If you can live with the damage in the short term wait till you need some new tyres and buy a new wheel from BMW at the same time. The cost of a replacement 17'' Bullet is £119 + Vat which is not that much and you get the advantage of the wheel being balanced free as part of the tyre replace and no hassles if the rim is damaged during the fit.

Might sound extravagant but you get a brand new wheel not a patched one and any refurbish work done on a wheel invalidates the warranty.
