It WAS tight, but if I'm not going to be in the car (I'm not most of the time as I cycle to work) then she'll be absolutely fine when I movethe passenger seat forward a little

She will outgrow this seat soon though...according to the Missus. So not only will we be looking for a seat for the Mini, we'll probably need to buy another for our other car too.

There are options however. If I'm going to drive, then it would be OK as my wife is shorter than me and can have the passenger seat forward. If she drives, then we could always move the seat to the passenger side.

In conclusion, it's workable, but I suspect a slimmer seat would make us all a lot more comfortable and involve less faffing about.

Thanks - I might take my car to Mothercare and get them to try the XP themselves, kneeling it it to tighten as you mentioned. It was Halfords who originally said it did not fit so lets see what Mothercares opinion is. The girl in Halfords who originally fitted the XP rang me the other day after she had spoken to her ex boss - her opinion/experience being a mini driver was the XP. As I have mentioned before, fellow mini2 members are using the XP seat so it does seem a bit wierd not fitting in mine.
I will try to compare the XP and Tobi in relation to depth as you mentioned RM, if it turns out the Tobi gives us more room then I will go for that one.
