But it could be one of those couple of days of the week that the child is in one of those poorer performing seats when it is needed to protect the childs life, so it is worth it.

More accidents happen on the shorter trips than longer ones

Have to agree with you on this and your concern, it always amazes me when someone is will to spend nearly 20k on a car, £400 on a pram that they then are not willing to invest in the most important piece of baby equipment, a car seat, which is there to save a life in an accident.

Surely if the parents of the child that are leaving it with someone else then they should be as concerned to be buying the right seat for their own child, that would be my argument if I was looking after someone elses kids

I'm a bit confused as to why the XP wont fit my car as lots of others seem to have these seats!

Because although you have been told that one if the up grade of the other they are both different seats, different parts and operations, could be one reason. The other is that all cars vary even under the same brand/model/interior etc which is why you should always try before you buy.

anyone have this??

My friend has one, its a great seat, one of the best selling on the market and one of the safest, which is why I recommended it to them.

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?
