My view is that extended warranties are a waste of money. Just put the money in a savings account and hope for the best.
If nothing goes wrong spend the money on a skiing holiday.
If the engine blows up buy a secondhand one (£700) and swap it at the weekend, then salvage the good bits from the blown up engine and sell them on ebay.
