Hola!
Good thread this. I'm reviving it because there's good experiences here and I've just clocked 50k mileage this week after 4.5 years of happy, happy ownership
No major repairs ever TOUCH LARGE AMOUNTS OF WOOD but I'm about to book into Dick Lovett to get a weeping sump gasket replaced and also order/collect replacement exhaust brackets for the common problem that they rust through at the back.
But I'm wondering, with pulling to the left being talked about, MINI isn't drifting
per se, but she has got slightly twitchy, and for really simple things like overtakes or coming on/off a carriageway. Tyres and pressure are so-so, I check them once a week.
Also, MINI has started creaking from the middle of the car. She has been doing this on really simple things as well, it's not when being thrown around a tight corner by Ayrton Senna. I was thinking a strut brace to steady things up, but that's not really a solution is it?
Anyone been through this at all? Twitchiness and creaking and repairs at 50k?
