Custom CAI Just Fitted

Been wanting to do this for a while after reading all the stuff on NAM about it (MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - CAI for R56 (home made))

So I did some research and ordered a cone filter which arrived this morning. It took about 5 minutes to install and I think it looks really good under the bonnet.
Sound wise there is a big difference to standard, it sounds like a blow off valve when you change gear or let off the throttle, and when you really put your foot down you get a nice 'sucking' sound. This is completely manageable, though. Ie under light acceleration there is little to no noise at all, but when you want it you can bring it on quite easily.
Its pretty difficult to capture this on video but I have tried my best

I am really pleased with this mod which only cost about £25 for all the bits required and literally 5 minutes to swap between standard and this.
Performance wise, without a doubt the car pulls stronger in the high rpms - dont need a dyno to prove that and it seems to have also made my exhaust 'pop' and burble a bit more, which is only a good thing
At the moment my originaly air filter is still in place, but I plan on removing that later today, just trying to figure out how to get it out!!

Any questions I'm happy to help
Cheers!
