Mine is a JCW also, is there a difference between the stock JCW intake sound and this one when driven normally? Just wondering if the box produces a certain kind of sound that may be lost with this setup?

Is there a particular reason why you went with a 3" filter? Presumably the silver piece near your silicone hose is a reducer??
