One thing I was thinking about... what spec of car was used by BMW for the MPG tests. I guess they used a basic Mini Clubman with 15" rims, no air-con or anything else that robs it of weight, like a panoramic roof? I always thought that roof was like carrying around a second person all the time. It always felt that way in my R53 Mini's.

I've noticed that since I swapped the wheels on my Clubman from 16-17" the overall average MPG has dropped from 39.3 down to 39.0, no change in the way I drive, I guess the change in tyres is enough to make an impact on MPG?
