I do take your experience respectably because it does all depend on driving style and what type of journeys are done. However, the major difference in the R53 and R56S is the carbon emissions/car tax group and plus a dibble dabble quicker time for the latter car. IMO, I don't think governments attitude for car tax is going to change and that's why the R56S is better choice financially
However, I guess it depends on what the OP really wants. I personally love the thrills of the turbo
