Yups, its another Cooper MPG rant!
I have just been browsing the forum, and noticed a thread regarding Cooper S comp, thread, to see who can get the most out of a full tank.
Now, They is a few on their who are getting (according to the trip computer) 400-450 miles! per full tank, for a supercharged 1.6!
I have a standard 1.6 cooper, and when I fill up a full tank, my computer averages around 300m, but I barely get that, more like 250, My mate has a Type R, and I am getting the same as him give or take.
I have tried everything, changed induction kit, tried different after market ones, then to revert back to the standard (it does help a littled) I have had my Oil service done etc.
Trying to do tests, for say a week after I have filled up full, to drive slow, no high revs, heavy breaking etc. But all fails. I can never get over 250ish to a full tank. I get about 50-60m per quarter on the clock.
When I had my warranty back in the day, I booked it in for them to check it out, but they found nothing, so doing that again would result in a heavy labour fee, for something they cannot sort.
I was wondering if they is any advice anyone can give me, maybe point me in direction of a previous thread/articles that could be of help. Anything Im willing to try.
Thanks for reading, and sorry for another MPG thread.
