Well, with a bit of luck the game might be back on for me.
As the alternative is driving round in a Golf, I'm prepared to do just about anything to get hold of a Works Clubman this summer (I can't/won't wait until '09). And it looks like I might not have to.
It might end up costing me about a grand more, but I've been told by one dealership *not in the UK* that they can sell me a right-hand drive JCW Clubman this summer.
Why the car has to go from Oxford to *parts foreign* then come back into the UK is beyond me, but if that's what it takes for me to get the car I want, then so much the better.
Interestingly, I've found that the *foreign* dealership was so much more efficient than some I've spoken to in the UK. They listen to what you need to know, go away and find out the answer, then ring you back - all in the space of an hour. |
