MINI2 - MINI Forum - View Single Post - Has anyone swapped their gen 1 works for a gen 2 works?

I also read through the whole thread as per Tigger in an earlier post...

I also had a chuckle when reading the last few posts... ;-)

Some observations...
a) the new R56 MINI seems to be faster than the R53 works MINI (Hell is about to be unleashed..) yes I own an R56 that is about to be "JCW'd"
b) Some people like the whine of a supercharger, some people like the new turbo motor (Others, like me, have a CAI to really hear the turbo and the great ka-chiiisch of the blow off valve and love the sound / power)
c) The MINI is tthe car for ultimate personalisation / individualisation... if you like the R53 stick to it, if you like the R56 change to it... if they were all the same it would be like a ford focus forum.. zzzzz (insert snoring sound here), zzzzz... yawn etc...

I wouldnt swap "the beast" for another MINI now (or maybe never), thats what makes the beast to me, like Swiper is to mini5lover (sorry - I havent named my MINI yet...)
