My comfort opening has stopped working properly.

I used to be able to get the windows to go down using the key and used to be able to unlock the doors at distance.

However, these days, I have to be standing pretty close to the car for the unlock to work - and even then the door unlock can be delayed by a second or two from pressing the button. Furthermore, my comfort opening is now no longer consistent. It never opens the windows all the way anymore - despite keeping the button depressed quite firmly - sometimes they open a crack, sometimes I get to half way, and other times the windows don't budge at all.

I thought this might have something to do with a battery in the key that needs replacing, but a dealer told me that the key is automatically recharged when in the ignition with the engine running.

Can anyone shed any light on this or suggest a possible fix?

Many thanks,
Andrew.
