Purchased my mini cooper diesel in April 2008, paid £18,250.00p. Currently run a Range Rover Vogue that allthough fantastic to drive returns at best 29.7mpg at 70 mph on the motorway. I wanted a fun nippy economical and Funky car that the wife and I could run around town etc..
Currently done 1,500 miles on this extremely agile run around and today drove from Durham to Leeds. Computer trip reads avg MPG = 77.3 Mpg @ and avg of 60mpg. Book said 80.01mpg I nearly got there target..
With £35.00p annual road tax and London congestion charge exempt its a now brainer whenit comes to saving on fuel economy.
The rangee has been parked on the drive for the past month and looks like it will shortly become extinct with the angle of attack from goverment eco warriors, the mini is a little corker although to small to drive the family in comfort, it has fantastic leg / head room all the bells and whistles on.
Think I will apply for a sales position for Mini UK!!
