I personally know of 2 people who have had to have the whole thing replaced - Exactly the same circumstance as CAR, and at 9k miles and 16k miles. And I think a MINI2 member popey had his changed under precaution, but same symtoms again, so if it wasn't replaced, I believe it would have gone completely.
I was probably flippant with the word 'common', but it certainly isn't an isolated case. |
