DIY Wind Noise and Fuel Gauge/Sensor

Hi all,
I have only had my 51 plate mini cooper for a few weeks and there are a couple of things i need some advice about.

Firstly, when driving from 60mph onwards there is SOMETIMES an absolutely awful howling noise. It seems like wind is getting in through a tiny gap or something. It doesn't happen all the time so is difficult to get a proper sense of where it is coming from. It is the worst noise that even my stereo doesn't drown out and driving faster doesn't help either!??

Secondly, my fuel gauge recently showed empty when i knew it was full, and then over the next 3 days it slowly crept up to show the actual amount. It has since done it once more. Most irritating.

Other than these it is in really good condition, but my garage don't have any answers for me as to what is going on, and as neither issues happen all the time it is difficult for them to diagnose.

Hence, i have joined your forum to ask of anyone else has had or heard of the same issues.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Chris xx
