i have a 3800 series ipaq running tomtom 1 and it can be quite tough to get going sometimes. Often it wont lock onto the satellites or it is complaining about no power when it has plenty.....i think i have a dodgy set of wire...

With regard to the actual software faults it could have something to do with the updates that you can download causing errors on the ipaq - i.e. i just downloaded the latest one last week and now it works but it just gives me voice guidance and no 'red marking' on screen of where im headed! Im now battling with the bloody stylus to get it back somehow but see no option....hmmmmmmmmmm

Gonna try a reinstallation of it all over easter and see what is happening!
