5 days is pretty quick isn't it?

The best thing about having a friend in the US to ship things for you is that they can send things via USPS (US postal service) which is the equivalent of Australia Post. None of the vendors seem to give USPS as an option because they would rather just use UPS or DHL - must be easier for them for some reason. USPS is a fraction of the price and gets here just as fast!

Here's an example -

1 x pair of shoes sent via UPS to Australia = $US125
2 x pairs of exactly the same shoes + some other small parts sent via USPS to Australia = US$40.

They arrived in about 5 days and we saved just over US$200 (vendor wouldn't combine shipping on the shoes and was going to send both pairs separately at US$125 each).

While I'm complaining about postage costs from the US, have I told you all about the time I ordered some parts from Outmotoring ....
