| MPG Yes, actually that is one US gallon. I am more than pleased with this figure. Now, to add to that I should point out that before turning 5000 miles on the odometer I had never done better than 37.3 but, it appears as the motor loosens up the mileage is improving. Also, I found this most recent increase followed the most recent BMW CCA autocross I attended. Great fun. Let my tank run to nearly the reserve light before the autox and then ran with the red light on all day. Just out of curiosity I had reset the mileage computer and found that during the autox, the Cooper was returning 34 MPG. Pretty impressive in my mind. 5500-6200 RPM all day in second gear.
Good time was had by all and 6 of our group drive Cooper S models and outclassed the CS class of M3's. Scott Simms
