| Aux. input and official ipod connector? I have a 2004 Mini Cooper, and had the Aux. input installed when I got the car. The dealership installed it in the glove box, which was okay-I'd rather have it elsewhere, but the glove box is fine. Later when the official iPod connector came out, I bought that, and it's worked pretty well since then. The only thing is the aux. input no longer works. Does anyone know of a way to have both work? I like the iPod adapter, but sometimes I'd like to have an ipod or other device with more storage that I can control. Also, how hard would it be to change the location of the aux. input from the glove box to the center console?
Another reason I'd like to have aux. input is the newer ipods don't seem to work with the official ipod connection, at least from what I've read (or they may work sporadically.) I'm guessing any future ipods that come out won't be compatible with the official ipod connection kit. |
