I'd be interested to see that. Also how it is carried out as i'm sure it's way beyond any normal day-to-day useage. Based on where the pulley is located I can't emagine it gets subject to salt or the elements nearly as much as something like suspension struts.

I had alloy topmounts on one of my old cars destroyed by that stuff they put on the roads in winter. Got jammed on the underside after being thrown up by the tyre & rotted them to bits
