Trust me, as I say here:
Exclusive: MINI Cooper S Convertible | theSwitchback, it's childish, but actually I found myself watching that more closely than any other dial on the launch, just because I wanted to see how long I could manage.... 100% of the driving time wasn't bad (over 5.5 hours in what was no more really than a days driving, considering the time spent flying etc).
